MarineSitu TEsts Novel UNderwater Monitoring Tool Suite

MarineSitu has developed a low-cost, integrated sonar and stereo camera sensor array with real-time AI algorithms to automatically detect marine life around marine energy devices, aiming to improve around-the-clock environmental monitoring in high-energy tidal environments. This TEAMER project at PNNL’s Marine and Coastal Research Lab will field-test that system, with MarineSitu’s AI-enabled SaltySuite analyzing data in real time while PNNL evaluates the tool’s effectiveness and usability and helps refine its software and visualizations.
